On the suggestion of a friend I went to Ecuador to check out some beach front property. The land has great potential but after that trip and a subsequent visit I discovered something else. What I discovered is that Ecuador has great import and export possibilities and that one of Ecuador’s major exports is Roses. The rich volcanic, alkaline soils of the Andes and the optimal altitudes make for some of the most beautiful roses in the world.
The name Roses-to-You.com popped into my head and wouldn’t go away so I started exploring the possibility of selling roses online that were fresh cut, reasonably priced, and delivered directly to your door. Hey, maybe we could create a website that would be simple and intuitive and deliver what we said it would with no come-on prices!
I developed a partnership with the best flower guy in Ecuador and together we developed a working relationship with FedEx (the Best in the flower shipping industry) and, since there is no such thing as free shipping, we work hard to keep the shipping prices as low as we can. We then connected with one of the most successful farms and premium rose growers in Ecuador. With a strong Fair-Trade ethic toward their employees and absolutely beautiful roses they are a great fit for our business.
We package the roses, print the FedEx labels, and send the boxes directly to the airport, all from the farm. The complete process, from the moment you order 50 or 100 roses to the delivery at your doorstep takes 4-6 days. This is as fresh as it gets in the flower industry. The roses are fresh cut per order and with proper care should last anywhere from 6-10 days after you receive them, depending on the variety.
