The Farm
We work with many farms that offer the BEST HIGH PREMIUM ROSES from Ecuador. We are proud that these farms comply with with Ecuadorian law and also give their employees extra benefits.
About the Farm:
Our main rose provider is located about two hours north from the Capital Quito, just outside Tabacundo. There are actually two farms, the main one is about 15 hectares and the second is about 10 hectares.
Roses are grown in a greenhouse, where temperature is controlled, where water is pumped electronically and bugs are kept from harming the rose plants.
When it's time to cut the roses they go from the field to a post-harvest room in this plastic cover.
At the post-havest facility the roses are cut (to fit in a category: 50cm, 60cm, 70cm, etc), then labeled and finally cleaned.
After this process is completed, they are packed and then classified according to the requirement of each customer and then stored in a cold room until they go to the airpot.
At the airport they wait to be loaded on the plane at the cold room, they are inspected and stay on hold while the paper work is done, when all clears they are ready to be exported.
When inspection is finished they are loaded on the plane an then flown to the United States.
